No-one Likes a Cheat!

When I was little my dad used to say to me:

“There’s no point in cheating because you’re only cheating yourself.”

I think the first time he said it he had caught me trying to cheat at a card game, but he repeated the message throughout my childhood when people were caught cheating.

I never did again though, I learned my lesson there and then!

And it’s a valuable one.

What’s the point in winning if you know you did it dishonestly?

Looking at some of the pro athletes today maybe that’s a stupid question; Money? Fame? Adoration?

But underneath it all they knew, and that’s a pretty dark thing to live with.

And look at them now!

Shamed and humiliated. Was it really worth it?

In my line of work you see people cheating all the time.

Cheating on their diets.

Cheating in the gym.

Skipping sessions.

Leaving things out of their food diary thinking it doesn’t count if you don’t write it down (it does).

But just like my dad says, they’re only cheating themselves.

Cheating themselves out of the fit, healthy body they really want.

Out of having more energy and less stress.

Out of feeling good about themselves.

Moral of the story?

Cheaters always lose in the end.

So ask yourself this:

Are you currently giving 100%? Or are you cheating yourself out of the results you really want?
