Food Is Not The Enemy

Contrary to popular belief, food is not the enemy.

In fact it’s your closest ally when it comes to:

Being healthy
Losing weight
Getting stronger
Building curves

Because food is the fuel your body needs to work properly, like a car runs on petrol, when the tank is empty you ain’t going nowhere.

No food = no muscle, no curves, no strength, no fat burning, no metabolism, no results.

That’s why people who spend their lives not eating properly find it so hard to lose weight.

I was having a conversation recently with a client who has (finally) started eating a proper breakfast and feels amazing.

Why? Because now she has the energy she needs to get through the morning without the constant desire to snack.

And it shows in the gym too, her lifts are going up when previously they had stalled.

This young woman actually needs to eat MORE in order to lose that stubborn pocket of belly fat so many women struggle with.

People think they will lose weight by skipping breakfast. But usually the opposite is true. Because feeling hungry all morning leads to snacking on unhealthy choices as your body craves an instant fix of simple carbs to make up for the shortfall in energy.

Much better to eat a healthy breakfast and not need to eat again until lunchtime.

Food only becomes a problem when we miss-use it.

When we rely on it to feel better (emotional eating).

When we’re ‘too busy’ and eat a lot of fast food, takeaways and unhealthy snacks.

When we don’t pay attention and overeat, or in some cases, under-eat.

If you want to be healthy, lose weight, (or gain weight), be strong, build curves and generally look and feel amazing, you need three things:

A healthy diet with the right amount of protein, carbs and fat.

A decent training programme that is designed to build muscle, burn fat and improve your long term health.

Motivation and support from likeminded people to keep you on track.
